Group Volunteers

Our Meal Sponsorship Program offers the chance to connect with our members through a direct service, while also helping The Gathering Place offset our meal costs. Groups agree to fund, help prepare, and serve breakfast or lunch to 75-100 members in our dining room. Breakfast donation levels range from $650-1,250 and lunch ranges from $800-1,500. All ingredients will conveniently be ready upon your team’s arrival, and meal preparations are guided by our Food Program staff. We ask for a minimum of 3 and maximum of 6 volunteers for a Meal Sponsorship. For larger groups, we can split the day into 3 shifts to accommodate up to 18 total volunteers.

Please note that we schedule Meal Sponsorships about a month out.

Our clothing bank is set up in a unique shopping-style boutique setting, called Bridget's Boutique. This provides our members with more dignifying experience so that they can feel empowered to pick out and wear what they like, not just what they need. We accept clothing donations for Bridget's Boutique on the first Wednesday of each month so that we can schedule volunteer groups to come in to help sort, organize, and stock donations that week. 

We schedule groups to come in on the first Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of each month. Scheduling can be somewhat flexible, but we ask that groups agree to come for at least 3 hours between 9am-4pm. We require a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 volunteers for this opportunity.
