Please note that The Gathering Place requires all volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (boosters are strongly recommended but not required at this time). Please be prepared to show your COVID-19 vaccination record before volunteering. Masks are strongly recommended for everyone in our building.
Our Meal Sponsorship Program is a great periodic or one-time group volunteer opportunity. This activity offers the chance to connect with our members through a direct service, while also helping The Gathering Place offset our meal costs. Groups agree to fund, help prepare, and serve breakfast or lunch to 75-100 members in our dining room. Breakfast donation levels range from $250-$400 and lunch ranges from $450-$650. All ingredients will conveniently be ready upon your team’s arrival, and meal preparations are guided by our Food Program staff. We require a minimum of four and a maximum of six volunteers for this opportunity.

Once a date is confirmed, you will be connected with our Food Program Manager to discuss your meal selection and what you will need to know and do while onsite.
Clothing Donation Sorting
Another option for groups who are interested in volunteering with us is an opportunity to sort and organize clothing donations. The Gathering Place accepts clothing donations for our clothing Boutique on the first Wednesday of each month. We schedule groups to come in the following Thursday or Friday to sort, organize, and stock these clothing donations. Scheduling can be somewhat flexible, but we ask that groups agree to come for 3 hours between 9am-4pm. We require a minimum of three and a maximum of six volunteers for this opportunity.
