Meals
Members at The Gathering Place receive three freshly prepared meals (breakfast, lunch, and snack) every day in our community dining room. For many of our members, this is the only reliable meal they can count on. Providing healthy, nutritious meals is the cornerstone of our programming at The Gathering Place, and we believe it's a crucial service that allows members to maintain and uphold dignity and independence.
Our meals program provides 250 meals to members three times a day. In 2018, we served over 60,000 meals to 4,322 individuals.
If you're interested in helping us provide a meal to our members, our Meal Sponsorship Program is a great way to volunteer with a group of friends, family, or colleagues. This activity offers a chance to connect with our members through direct service, while also helping us offset our member meal costs.
