Perhaps the most anticipated piece of legislation this session was House Bill 1466. This bill would allocate money from the Unclaimed Property Fund to the division of housing in the department of local affairs, and to the Colorado housing and finance authority (CHFA). And not just a few dollars-- $40 million. According to this bill, $30 million would be deposited into the housing development grand fund to “improve, preserve, or expand the supply of affordable housing in Colorado.”
